Privacy Policy
Tensio has no account and no developer server. Your diary and exercise data live on your device. We never collect or receive your information. Two optional features use Apple's own services or a weather lookup — explained in full below — and nothing else leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the Tensio iPhone and iPad app, published by Fovcus. By using the app you agree to the handling of information described below.
What we collect
Nothing on our side. Tensio has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking, and no third-party software development kits. The developer operates no server and never receives your data. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
What the app stores, and where
Your diary entries, daily logs, exercise and streak data, and settings are stored only on your device in a local database. These files are protected with iOS file encryption and are included in your device's standard, already-encrypted iCloud or iTunes backup, so you don't lose your history if you restore your phone. There is no separate account database and no custom cloud sync.
When information leaves your device
There are only three ways data ever leaves your phone, and you control all of them:
- Apple Health (optional): when you log an entry, Tensio can save a matching severity record to Apple Health on your device. This is write-only — the app never reads anything from Apple Health. You can disable this in iOS Health permissions.
- Weather (optional): if you turn on the weather feature and grant location access, the app sends your approximate coordinates to the Open-Meteo weather service (api.open-meteo.com) to fetch current conditions, and uses Apple's geocoder to show a place name. No name, account or identifier is attached — the coordinates are used only to return the weather, then discarded.
- Exports you start: when you tap export, your text or PDF “doctor's report” goes wherever you send it through the iOS share sheet (for example, emailing it to your GP).
Apart from those, the app makes no network calls and your diary content is never uploaded anywhere.
Accounts and sign-in
None. Tensio has no login and no user accounts. Your Apple ID is used only by Apple to process an in-app purchase or restore, which is handled by the operating system — not by us.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Apple Health: to save your entries to Apple Health (write only).
- Location (while using the app): approximate location, only to record weather alongside an entry.
- Notifications: local reminders only — session and movement-break nudges and a weekly review. No push server is involved.
Tensio does not use your camera, microphone, photos or contacts.
Purchases
Tensio offers a single one-time unlock. Payments are handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit; we never see or store your payment details. You can restore your purchase from the app's settings at any time.
Children
Tensio is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
